“Ian Castell is an exceptional clinician who performed a complex root canal procedure on my lower molar. Throughout the process, he demonstrated not only his professional expertise but also excellent bedside manners, which are crucial for patient comfort and confidence.

As shown in the first set of X-ray images, my molar required a root canal treatment. Unlike the typical lower molar with two roots, my tooth had an uncommon anatomical variation of four roots. One of these roots was particularly challenging to access due to its bent shape, a condition known as a “curved canal.” This made the procedure more complex. During the treatment, Doctor Castell utilized advanced 3D imaging technology, which provided detailed visuals of my tooth’s internal structure (see images). This imaging was essential for accurately navigating and treating the multiple root canals. One of the images captures the procedure in progress, highlighting the meticulous work involved in accessing and cleaning the root canals. Doctor Castell’s expertise was evident as he carefully removed the infected tissue, disinfected the canals, and then sealed them with a biocompatible material to prevent further infection. The final X-ray image shows the successful completion of the root canal, with all four canals properly treated and sealed. This outcome is a testament to Doctor Castell’s skill and dedication.

10/10 Dr. Ian Castell is incredible! It was worth driving over two hours (one way) to meet with him. Dr. Castell is personable, professional and passionate about endodontics and his patient's care. I would say he is very charismatic (by its best definition: empathetic, humble, present, interested in others, altruistic and has a sense of humor).

He was recommended to me by my son who met him while attending dental school and found him to be the best of the best. Dr. Castell impressed me with his cheerful personality and calming nature. Durante todo el proceso, demostró no solo su experiencia profesional sino también excelentes modales, lo cual es crucial para la comodidad y la confianza del paciente.

Como se muestra en la serie de imágenes de rayos X, mi molar requirió un tratamiento de conducto. A diferencia del molar inferior típico con dos raíces, mi diente tenía una variación anatómica poco común de cuatro raíces.
