Dr Ajani is the best in his field. He communicates directly and honestly, and he is happy to answer questions. He treated my father for esophageal cancer and I felt confident every step of the way that he was receiving the best care available. His team of PAs and nurses are amazingly dedicated and available to answer questions whenever you have them. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a gift to his field.

My husband was cared for from beginning until now. He was diagnosed in 2002 with gastroesophageal cancer and given a 15% chance of survival. Here we are 22 years later. We never gave up and neither did Dr Ajani.

I will not address him as Dr. Ajani because he does not deserve that honor. Ajani Jaffer was not able to help my brother his attitude towards him was not sincere or genuine like a doctor should portray. We had HUGE hopes on MD Anderson but they let us down! People if you want to get good health care go outside of USA. Other countries are more advanced in treatments and surgical procedures than here please do your research and most importantly do not go to Ajani because you will be disappointed and treated poorly!

Jaffer Ajani is one of the finest Doctors on Earth. I am a MD here in Houston, Dr. Ajani took care of my mother who had stomach cancer. Not only did he have the very latest treatments and science but he always spent as much time with her as she wanted. He even came to her home as she was dying to see if there was anything he could do. Dr. Ajani is a superbly skilled, caring gift to people with cancer.

Much much better experience than we had with a local highly rated hospital. Access to nurse, PA, and Dr Ajani. Allison (pa), Jeannette (pa) and Alicia (nurse) are all great. Immediate communication Via my chart. Md Anderson is all encompassing.

Also, for what it’s worth, my father has late stage esophageal cancer. Our chemo at the previous hospital was ineffective not to mention it almost killed my father and we could never get ahold of anyone. At md Anderson, the chemo has gotten some positive results and they’ve been extra attentive.

You’re crazy to go anywhere but MD Anderson if you live in the Houston area. Aja I seems very very knowledgeable and his team is as well, not to mention attentive. Very grateful we sought MD Anderson out. You should too.

Lastly, this is a very difficult process, so please understand if others have left negative reviews, it’s not necessarily a reflection on Ajani or his staff, but rather an understandably negative reaction to a very difficult thing

If I could give zero stars and leave a review I would. Unfortunately I was told this was a renowned man for his work in cancer. Little did I know all he cared about was research, not patients. He told my hubby to get up and walk when my husband couldn't even stand. He did not even diagnose a blood clot when we told him how bad his feet hurt and that is the first thing my sister said it was. He did not care about my husband who I convinced to go to MD Anderson. I have so many regrets for using this doctor even after I read all of the bad reviews online. Please research more reviews. My husband passed from a stroke caused by blood clots. But before he passed, he had to have his feet amputated because this doctor did not diagnose a blood clot and believed my husband was being overly dramatic. You could look at my husbands feet and know he was seriously in pain. So now I'm left without a husband all because I insisted we go to MD Anderson. Please read reviews on Ajani before going.

My father was diagnose with stomach cancer. Dr. Ajani offer him chemoteraphy, which he started right away. After 8 treatments, Dr. Ajani and his PA Allyson send him to rest for two months back home. Once out of town, my father started feeling worse, we try to communicate this to Dr. Ajani but he never call my father's oncology back to see how to proceed. As he was not replying to our concerns because we were out of town, we decided to bring him back to Houston so he could be seen by him. He didn't explain to us direct the situation, he just send us home and said just walk and eat that is what you need to do to get treatment. If he is an expert in this matter, he knew that was almost impossible. He had no empathy, we trusted him and he never followed up. My father was in MDAnderson hospital and he didn't even shoed up to talk to him. After my father passed away, a nurse call me about my father's next appointment, I told her that he had passed away and they just closed mychart account. Never heard back again from them. No compassion or empathy for his patients. I guess you are just a number...
