Just wanted to say a few words about how wonderful our experience was with Melissa Kuhrt, our commercial agent from Berkshire. When the City of Rockford announced that our building was to be razed and our business relocated for a flood control project we were really unsure and scared. For about three months I dealt with about a dozen agents who were pretty clueless about dealing with the City. When Melissa walked in the shop we hit it off right away. After talking with her she makes you feel comfortable and needless to say, Melissa helped ease all our fears. As time has gone on I've become less impressed with people in the business world however the next day after our first visit she calls and tells me she talked to ten or twelve department heads from the City to find out as much of the details of their involvement in the move and I think my mouth fell open, I've never seen anyone show that much "HUTZPAH" in my life. She is definitely someone you want in your corner. At the shop I see about a dozen or so real estate agents a week and forty of our sixty five years located across the street for one of the leading agencies in Rockford and I would recommend Melissa over anyone of those great folks, hands down. The one quality that sets Melissa apart from most is her genuine empathy, compassion and kindness. While going through the process she had numerous others interested in our spot but she remained with us. She worked with us and our attorney on the lease, helping taper and fine tune some parts and shortening the term which I know was not beneficial to her bottom line. She stuck with us and worked for us until the end and I'll never forget it. Simply put, our little three generation, 104 year old family business would not be here if not for the efforts of this amazingly remarkable young lady, Melissa Kuhrt. You see, kindness and empathy cannot be faked, it comes from the heart and is something one is born with as a gift from God, and Melissa is over flowing with it. There is not a better choice to entrust your business's future location too or your family's home buying/selling experience than Melissa Kuhrt.
